Nail Signs due to abnormal nail matrix function -Nail Pitting 指甲凹痕/凹洞
Nail Pitting describes the presence of punctate depressions of the nail plate surface. Pits are due to foci of abnormal keratinization of the proximal nail matrix. These pits emerge from under the cuticle and grow out with the nail. Many other cutaneous diseases may cause pitting (eg., psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections, and alopecia areata), or it may occur as an isolated finding in a normal variation.
